While you’re in Valley Forge
We invite you to take the time to relax, renew and refresh; body, soul and spirit. Allow yourself to relax your mind as you enjoy a cup of fresh coffee while fellowshiping in our comfortable surroundings. Renew your heart by taking a quiet moment with the Lord while sitting on one of the porches overlooking a serene setting. Refresh your spirit as you walk with the Lord on one of the trails that wind throughout our grounds. Many guests have shared testimonies of their personal encounters with God.
The Valley Forge National Park, home to the continental army in the 1700’s, is a great place to get away and enjoy the outdoors. See how the soldiers lived during the winter encampment in the cabins that are throughout the park. Join living history interpreters for candle-light tours and a “march” up to Muhlenberg’s Brigade. The 6th Pennsylvania regiment, along with park staff and volunteers in period clothing, demonstrates camp life.
Discover the surrounding quaint towns that surround us and all they have to offer. Visit the historic district of Phoenixville, the site of great iron and steel mills such as the Phoenix Iron Works, boiler works, silk mill, and famous (now highly collectible) Etruscan majolica pottery. Visitors will enjoy friendly shopkeepers, artist’s galleries, high-end antiques and country charm.
Just 30 minutes fromNC3, indulge in the arts and history that Philadelphia has to offer. Visit one of the many museums or historical sites to experience the rich heritage upon which our nation was built. There are more than 50 free attractions within a 20 block area, including the National Constitution Center and Liberty Bell.
If you prefer the country, take part in the simplicity that life has to offer with a visit to Lancaster County. On your 30 minute drive, stop at one of the antique shops along the way or just enjoy the scenic route of rolling hills and Amish farms.
Many more attractions and activities await your arrival in Eastern Pennsylvania.
