History

The National Christian Conference Center is a ministry of Missionary Fellowship and has its roots in prevailing prayer. In 1974, a handful of dedicated Christian women joined our founders, Gil and Marge Pugh, and began praying for their families to come to know the Lord. In His faithfulness, God moved in answer to these prayers. Individuals were drawn to the testimony of the reality and faithfulness of God and caught the vision of a place where others could come to experience the Lord as well. Many of the current staff members are a result of the prayers of these faithful few.

In 1984, as the vision expanded and the fellowship grew, the need arose for a facility to establish a place for people to experience and grow in their relationships with God. After much prayer, searching, and divine redirection, the National Christian Conference Center was born. In this established setting, we were able to create an environment that provides a restful setting for insightful reflection. We count it a joy to serve those who come as they set aside time to seek the Lord.

In the early 1990s, our fellowship felt challenged to increase our dedication to missions and relief work around the world. Involvement with churches and mission organizations opened the door to servicing the conferences of other Christian ministries. The conference ministry enables us to facilitate the work of mission organizations, churches and Christian education programs,  further utilizing the property that God has provided for us.

The National Christian Conference Center provides a venue for conferences, seminars, and retreats. Our conference building is warm and welcoming and allows for quiet meditation, teaching, preaching, or worship. The beautiful grounds of our facility allow for long, contemplative walks as you appreciate God’s creation all around.

In addition to our conference ministry, we also provide office space for several non-profit organizations. We call these groups our resident partners. The current resident partners with offices on campus are: Scripture Union, International Health Services, I-LEAD, Grace Valley Fellowship and U.S. Center for World Mission. Currently, we have additional space available for other ministries to join us.

Many of our guests have told us that they truly sense the Lord’s presence during their time here. Indeed, this is our prayer as we welcome our guests. Our staff prays regularly for the individuals and groups while they are here with us and after they have left. We have been truly blessed as we have heard of countless prayer answers. Our staff sees this testimony as an answer to the spirit of prayer that began almost 40 years ago and continues until today.
